Verbier has a mass of activities and events in the summer, as with the winter, many of which are world famous. The highlights include the renowned Verbier Classical Music Festival in July where the worlds best musicians can be found and the Hippique show-jumping event in August. It is also only a short drive to the Montreux Jazz Festival held in July. Verbier has played host to many events including the Tour de France in 2009, Richard Branson’s masked charity ball and several James Blunt giggs.
“….the many activities help create the unmatched ambience that is the hallmark of the resort’s reputation”. (Verbier.ch)
Verbier has some idyllic hikes and is an ideal place for learning to parapente and for more advance pilots too. There is an out-door pool in the village where you can sunbathe, read, picnic and swim. There is also tennis, volleyball, golf, pony trekking and mountain biking. Verbier has several world-class downhill mountain bike routes.
The route from Ruinette to Le Chable gives you over 2000 vertical metres. You can explore the bike routes alone or we can arrange guides by the half or full day.
